bento os is the platform we’re building at bybento to run a creative-production business. the boring operational spine of one, anyway.
the short version: shooting is the fun part. everything around it is not. quoting, crewing, briefs, budgets, delivery, keeping a client actually informed, chasing the invoice at the end. most photographers and small production shops run that on a mess of spreadsheets, whatsapp, and memory. it mostly holds. until it doesn’t.
bento os is the attempt to make that spine software instead of vibes. one place where a job goes from “someone emailed” to “delivered and paid” without falling through a gap on the way.
i’m the founder, which means i’m the annoying customer who wants it to work before anyone else touches it. the build itself is a partnership with mindlink, a dev team who write the parts i shouldn’t. i bring the operational scar tissue, they bring the engineering.
it’s a work in progress and i’m not going to pretend otherwise. that’s what the [wip] tag is for. no launch date to promise, no feature list to over-sell. when there’s something real to show, it’ll show up here.
for now: this is the thing i keep disappearing to build when i’m not behind a camera.
