Reunion is a French island east of Madagascar in the Indian Ocean. Volcanic, green, and almost unknown to the people it wants as visitors. The tourism board’s problem is a good one to have a camera for: the place oversells itself the moment you point a lens at it.
The job was to make the island legible to someone who has never heard of it. Landscape that gives a sense of scale, detail that gives a sense of texture, and enough human presence that it reads as somewhere you could go, not a postcard.
[ROY: client of record, the Reunion tourism board directly or a travel agency in the middle? And the year?]
