The Ceder Race is a trail event, which for a photographer means a lot of ground, not much of it flat, and runners who stopped caring how they looked several kilometres ago.
That last part is the gift. Nobody at hour four of a trail race is performing for the camera. You get the real face, the one endurance sport is actually about, and your only job is to be in the right place on the mountain when it arrives.
Second endurance race on the site for a reason. This is the work I keep coming back to.
